Asociacion EducArte is pleased with its accomplishments to date and the services it provides to its beneficiaries. the school currently operates at full capacity receiving 70 students daily and 33 adult learners on weekends. all of its members have access to all the programs offered by EducArte, but there are a large numbers of students that are turned away every year because of the lack of space and funds needed to meet the growing number of students waiting to attend. Moreover, given the harsh realities and challenges EducArte families face on a daily basis.

more resources are necessary to meet the educational, health, nutritional and developmental needs experienced by the students.

Currently, Asociacion EducArte runs 9 programs that have been designed and integrated to offer and holisitic experience for the children, their parents, and the community at large. the programs include:

1. "Mi escuela" (my School) program

Asociacion EducArte receives students from monday to friday and offers classes in the morning and in the afternoon. Days are structured around a curriculum in accordance with the Guatemalan Ministry of Education.

2. The Mariposa public library

To further promote education within and beyond the walls of the school, Asociacion EducArte offers the Mariposa Library which is open to all who desire to read.

3. Children's Cafeteria program

Owing to the realization that many of the children lacked access to nutritious food, Asociacion EducArte provides students with breakfast, lunch, and a snack.

4. Tutoring Program

Additional academic support is offered via a tutoring program designed to help individual children in areas of difficulty.

5. The Arts and Trades Program "Manos a la obra"

provides an open learning-environment so that the children can pursue their interests through activities such as: painting, construction, sculpture, dance, theatre, choreography, photography, cooking, and sewing. The objective of this program is to complement the curriculum-based classes with extra-curricular activities so that attending children receive a comprehensive educational experience.

6. psychology and social work program

Asociacion EducArte provides counseling services to the children and their parents when appropriate. in addition to individual counseling sessions, the psychologist teaches lessons around self-confidence issues and leads a variety of group activities that are designed to enhance mental and emotional well-being.

7. Student Meditacion Program

These interactive classes equip students with general life and conflict resolution skills, so that key can become effective "particpActores" and larger society.

8. Conalfa

Literacy courses are offered to any interested adults in the community via the Conalfa Program.
